Tisno was named after the Croatian word “tisno” which means “strait”, which describes its location at the narrow strait separating the island of Murter from the mainland. It is located on the coast, in between cities of Šibenik (30 km) and Zadar (60 km). Closest airports are Split airport (75 km) and Zadar airport (60 km).
